To be eligible to win members must register and be fully paid, attend various activities and collect tickets by attending events and workshops and be present when their name is drawn on Nov 20.
On average, about 75 people attend an annual meeting so chances of winning are very good. While tickets are earned by participating in events not all the events earn the same number of tickets. For instance, by registering and paying by Nov. 8 participants qualify not only for overall cash savings but earn five tickets. Attendance at Newberry workshops, qualifying as a Delegate from the county, etc. will earn additional drawing tickets for the participant.
Some events qualify for five tickets, some only one — participation is the key to earning the maximum number of chances to win those five days and nights.
Events and workshops included in this year’s themed “Taking Charge in the Next Decade” meeting cover subjects such as: “Passing the Farm to the Next Generation” sponsored by Country Financial and “Discovering Your Influential Power” with Troy and Stacy Hadrick, special guest speakers and well-known advocates for agriculture.
