Moana Nursery raises $3K for local nonprofit

RENO — Moana Nursery raised $3,347.70 at the Big Brothers Big Sisters “Best Time Weekend Event” the weekend of Sept. 24. The money raised will benefit northern Nevada children.

“We are all struggling in this very tough economy,” said Moana Nursery owner Bruce Gescheider. “But we can’t forget about the many nonprofit organizations that are doing good and important work in our community because they also feel the pinch of our weak market. We are glad to help, in a small way, make a difference in assisting Big Brothers Big Sisters of northern Nevada reach out to local, at-risk children.”

The Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships.

Moana Nursery has three locations in the Reno-Sparks area. Moana Nursery specializes in both residential and commercial landscape design and installation.
