FALLON — The driver killed in a Tuesday morning accident has been released.

Claude Brown, a 57-year-old Fallon resident, died at about 7:05 a.m. in an accident on U.S. Highway 50 near mile marker 32, about 8 miles east of Fallon.

The investigation indicates two vehicles were traveling eastbound when the rear vehicle, a red 2005 Nissan pickup, veered left in the westbound travel lane and then steered back to the eastbound lane. It struck a silver 2005 Toyota Highlander. Both vehicles rolled off the road.

Brown was the driver of the Nissan pickup. He died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota Highlander, Sidney Ellen Imeson, a 50-year-old Fallon resident, was injured and transported into Banner Churchill Memorial Hospital in Fallon.  Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
