The position is responsible for developing and coordinating the communications, public information, website, creative and all marketing aspects of the RSCVA, as well as special events.
Cunningham’s first day on the job is July 9.
“Cunningham has extensive experience in hotel, casino, destination marketing and group and leisure sales and has been working in the region for more than 20 years,” said Ellen Oppenheim, RSCVA president and CEO. “She was received positively by RSCVA stakeholders during the interview and hiring process. Her experience as a director of sales, advertising and marketing demonstrates that Cunningham will bring valuable marketing experience and contacts to the position and will play an integral role in continuing to grow and position our brand throughout the region.”
Prior to accepting this position, the University of Nevada, Reno graduate worked for the RSCVA as the director of marketing for the National Bowling Stadium, the Silver Legacy Hotel Casino and the Peppermill Hotel Casino as the director of tour and travel sales.
Cunningham most recently worked for the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino as the director of sales, advertising, entertainment and casino marketing.
