RENO — The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) announced Tuesday that Tammy Johnson has accepted the national convention sales manager position for the agency. The position is responsible for selling the Reno, Sparks and North Lake Tahoe area as a convention destination and for achieving the sales targets and objectives for the RSCVA.
The position is based in the Chicago area and Johnson’s territory will include Chicago and portions of the Midwest and Northeast. The position will report to the RSCVA’s vice president of convention sales. Her first day on the job is May 10.

“I am looking forward to showing different associations the diverse amenities and great value Reno/Tahoe offers meeting planners,” Johnson said. “Reno/Tahoe is an attractive destination offering exceptional customer service and hospitality to different groups and associations it services. From spectacular special events available and the close proximity to Lake Tahoe and the downtown redevelopment that is taking place I am excited to bring groups here to experience the destination first hand.”
