CARSON CITY — The Nevada district office of the U. S. Small Business Administration has named  Jarrod Lopiccolo, co-owner of Noble Studios in Carson City, as Young Entrepreneur of the Year for 2010 in the state of Nevada. Lopiccolo and the other honorees will be recognized at an awards reception the week of May 3 in Las Vegas.

The nominees are judged by an independent panel of small business leaders on a variety of criteria, including staying power, growth in number of employees, increase in sales, financial reports, innovative products or services, response to adversity, evidence of contributions to community-oriented projects and small-business advocacy.

Lopiccolo’s Noble Studios, founded in 2003, is an international Web development and digital marketing company.  Lopiccolo brings more than 10 years of development experience with an emphasis in Web technology to the business. He also serves as a consultant to many businesses in the region and his creative diversity has made him an influential player in his profession.

In 2009, while the economy was still struggling, Noble Studios experienced its largest growth in both gross and net sales.   Noble Studios has also secured monthly service agreements with international brands, such as Autodesk, Inc., one of the world’s top five software producing companies.
