S.E.T. narcotics investigations net drug dealers

RENO –– As part of the units ongoing efforts to prevent the distribution and sales of illegal drugs into the Reno/Sparks area, detectives of the regional Street Enforcement Team (SET), conducted about 92 narcotics related investigations between January and March. Of those 92 investigations, 56 led to seizures and arrests. The agency reported arresting 112 adults and 2 juveniles. The team also reported seizing the following:

Marijuana:1304.3 grams

Methamphetamine: 1836.4 grams

Cocaine: 386.5ggw

Crack:133.5 grams

Heroin: 276.9 grams

Weapons: 9 guns

Money: $30,154 in US currency

The Regional Street Enforcement Team’s mission is to aggressively and collaboratively address the problems of illegal drugs sales and use, prostitution and underage alcohol use through enforcement, intervention and prevention within the Reno/Sparks area.

The regional Street Enforcement Team is made up of members of the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department and University of Nevada Police Services.
