Update on 7-Eleven armed robbery

SPARKS –– Police have now released surveillance photos of a suspected armed robber who took cash from the 7-Eleven store on Silverada Boulevard Sunday night.

On Sunday at about 8 p.m., two suspects approached a lone employee inside of the 7-Eleven. One of the suspects was in possession of a semi-automatic handgun which he pointed at the employee. The second suspect walked around the counter and took cash from the register. Both suspects then fled the area. The employee was not injured during the robbery.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 30s, 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket, gray sweatpants, white shoes, multi-colored beanie, prescription glasses and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The second suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s, 6 feet tall with a thin build and a brown and gray mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, black-and-white shoes and a dark-colored beanie with snowflakes.

The Reno Police Department Robbery/Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in this case. Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact the Reno Police Department Detective Division at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
