RENO — ProTechnical, a leading provider in technology services and solutions, has moved its office from south Reno to Basin Street Properties’ 200 S. Virginia St. Basin Street Properties signed the two-year lease agreement with ProTechnical to supply 482 square feet of office space in the 118,741-square-foot building.

“The downtown Reno renaissance was attractive to us as we decided if and where to move our offices to,” said Rick Thomas, president of ProTechnical. “Basin Street was able to offer us a location that was in the heart of this renaissance. With the Freight House District quickly being built and the close proximity to restaurants, shops, museums, a movie theater and commercial services, we are in one of the most appealing buildings in Reno. The incredible mountain views were just icing on the cake.”

Basin Street Properties’ 200 S. Virginia St. building is a nine-story Class A office building located in downtown Reno and is in immediate proximity to restaurants and other services while offering on-site security, on-site management and a dedicated facilities engineer. Centrally located within walking distance of the Truckee River, City Hall, the County Courthouse and the Federal Court Building, the property is one of the most prominent buildings in Reno, featuring panoramic views of the surrounding Sierra Mountains, Truckee Meadows and downtown Reno. The building offers on-site and immediately adjacent parking, renaissance concierge service and has a Wells Fargo retail branch with ATM for tenant use. The office building is also used as a central hub for telecommunications including tenants such as Qwest, Level 3, Nevada West and Pacific Bell Internet Service. The building also offers direct access to Interstate 80, the Amtrak station and all major bus lines.

ProTechnical was represented by David Woods, a broker with CB Richard Ellis.

“We continue to see more business like ProTechnical want to be part of the great things downtown Reno is currently doing with its growth and expansion,” said Scott Stranzl, Basin Street’s vice president of leasing. “Downtown Reno lends itself to many advantages including the nearby amenities, proximity to the Reno/Tahoe International Airport, direct access to public transit and the fact that the 200 S. Virginia building is a central hub for telecommunications.”
