Ronnie Baker Brooks will be the first musician to take the stage at the Reno-Tahoe Blues Fest when he performs at 1 p.m. Saturday.
This year, the festival will be giving students who attend school in Washoe County and are enrolled in music programs free tickets to the event. Students can pick up a ticket at will call by showing their student ID.
The Reno-Tahoe Blues Fest will kick things off with a performance by Blue Haven. This event will start at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 8:30 p.m. Also on Friday night, Lil’ Dave Thompson will perform at the Reno Ballroom, 401 N. Center Street in downtown Reno. Tickets are $15 at the door.
The festival’s performers will be playing on two stages set up at Rancho San Rafael Park.

Tickets for the Reno-Tahoe Blue Fest start at $35 a day for general admission and are $70 a day for reserved seating. Two-day passes are $60 for general admission and $130 for reserved seating.
