The 16 points were the fewest by Sparks in a single game all season.
Lowry had a 9-0 lead after the first period and a 28-5 edge by the intermission. The visiting Buckaroos had their best quarter in the third. The Winnemucca school outscored Sparks 23-4 in the period and pushed their lead to 51-9 after the three quarters of play.
The 40-point running clock mercy rule was in play the entire fourth quarter, which saw Sparks finish with a slim 7-6 edge in the last eight-minutes.
Senior guard Isaiah Campbell accounted for almost half of the SHS offense, finishing with seven points. Only four other Railroaders scored and none had more than three points in defeat.
Sparks finished the contest shooting only 6-of-32 (19 percent) from the field. The Railroaders' woes also showed up in ball security as they gave up 35 turnovers.
