There is no question that Obama either misled, misspoke, wasn’t accurate, should have nuanced or simply did not tell the truth about an individual’s ability to keep his current health plan if he likes it. As for keeping your doctor if you like him, you can check with any doctor you might know about his or her “take” on the efficacy of Obama’s previous statements.
Some of the President’s supporters on television have noted that only 5 percent of the American populous, who are individually insured, would lose their current health care policies. They followed up this statement by saying that should only affect about five million people but in actuality 5 percent of the 300 million people living in this country comes out to15 million individuals.
Last week was especially telling on the sense of outrage sweeping the country when 15 Democratic Senators called on the While House to ask the President to consider reevaluating his position on the flawed health care plan. Incidentally, those 15 are up for reelection next year.
Other than the insurance mess that is currently hovering over the White House, it was announced that there would be hearings on Benghazi that would feature testimony of some individuals who were on the ground that night. So far they have been prevented by the government from testifying. It has been noted that there were more than 30 CIA agents in Benghazi that horrific night. Surely they were not there for R and R, or to “take the waters.” Whatever their mission, it is probably listed as “classified” and we may never hear what it actually was, not that we need to.
The economic effects of Obamacare are being felt in businesses of all sizes and have led to the creation of the largest part-time employment number in the history of the country. Oddly enough, there have been many exceptions to the law carved out on behalf of certain companies and union folk.
Another event causing the White House some concern is the fact that it was reported that many of Obama’s famous drone strikes have taken out many innocent civilians as well as the targeted terrorists.
With the vast array of scandals that have plagued this administration, none is probably more serious than the scandalous wiretapping of the phone conversations of our chief allies around the world. Previously, the President received a lot of “heat” for his snubbing of Israel’s Netanyahu.
This month will mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. There are a number of upcoming TV programs that are set to give voice to the possibility of a conspiracy killing. More about that next week.
