The Sparks boys soccer team completed a season sweep of Spring Creek. The Railroaders, who knocked off the Spartans two weeks ago in Elko County, turned the trick again Friday, picking up a 4-1 home win in a Div. 1-A League tilt.

Ruben Pacheco scored two goals for Sparks while Christian Moron and Jesus Partida both chipped in a goal as well. Partida also gave away two assists.

Trailing 4-0, Spring Creek posted its lone goal in the 71st minute.

Sparks got off 30 shots compared to just six for Spring Creek. The Railroaders now sit 9-1 overall and 8-1 in conference clashes.

"Our boys controlled the match from start to finish," Sparks coach Frank Avilla said. "We're continuing to get better and play as a team. The boys are learning to trust each other, but there's still improvement to be made."

The SHS club finishes its weekend of hosting the eastern Nevada schools when it plays Elko Saturday at 1 p.m.

In a Div. I North High Desert League affair, Reed won at Hug, 3-1, Friday.
