A Chicago Blackhawks jersey was donated to the Washoe County Commissioners by Wirtz Beverage Nevada.  The jersey was signed by the team captain after the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup.  Rocky Wirtz, Chairman of the NHL Champion Chicago Blackhawks and president of Wirtz Beverage Group, recently brought the trophy to Spanish Springs.

A copy of the article about the Stanley Cup visit, a team photo and the signed jersey is on display at the Spanish Springs Library.

“It is exciting that the 2013 Stanley Cup Champions have a local tie to Washoe County,” said Commissioner Vaughn Hartung.  “The recent donation to the Commission really belongs to the community, and having a display at the Spanish Springs Library gives us all the opportunity to share in this victory.”
