RENO — The First Tee of Northern Nevada (www.tftnn.org), is seeking adult and junior volunteers to assist with The First Tee Golf and Life Skills Experience programs offered at Reno, Sparks and Carson City golf courses.

A low golf handicap or experience in teaching golf is not required. A smile, good nature and a desire to help young people in our community is all that is needed. The First Tee of Northern Nevada will provide all training and support through training sessions and “on-the-job” training. Hours and total time commitment are flexible.

Training sessions take place April 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at D’Andrea; May 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at Arrowcreek Country Club; and June 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Wolf Run Golf Club. Volunteers are encouraged to attend at least one training session.

The First Tee of Northern Nevada is a non-profit community youth development organization dedicated to providing young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship.

Contact The First Tee of Northern Nevada at 851-2332 or info@tftnn.org for more information or for a volunteer application form.
