Nevada tops Fresno State for first MWC win

The Nevada mens basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak, including two straight losses to start Mountain West Conference play, at Fresno State Saturday night as the Wolf Pack won 68-61.

With just over four minutes remaining in the contest and the game tied at 54-54, Nevada closed out the game with a 14-7 run to seize the victory.

Malik Story led the Wolf Pack in scoring on the night, tallying 24 points. Deonte Burton also chipped in with 22 points, while Jerry Evans Jr., contributed nine points and 11 rebounds. The Wolf Pack went to the free-throw line 37 times, knocking down 30 shots, with Burton accounting for 12 and Story hitting 11.

Nevada (10-7, 1-2 MWC) stays in conference action as it welcomes No. 15 San Diego State to Lawlor Events Center Wednesday at 7 p.m.
