Gingerbread Festival at the Wilbur D. May Museum
RENO — From gingerbread walls to icing roofs to candy cane sidewalks, the fifth annual Holiday Gingerbread Festival promises a sweet treat for the eyes. Building meets baking in this fun holiday tradition at the Wilbur D. May Center from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. This event is free and open to the public. Families are invited to come out to view the entries and vote for favorites. This popular event also features musical performances, holiday arts and crafts and refreshments.
The public is invited to enter their own gingerbread creations in the contest for a chance to win prizes. Entry forms and rules can be found on the May Center website. Proceeds support the Wilbur D. May Arboretum & Botanical Garden.
