SPARKS -- The annual Scheels Turkey Trot saw more than 2,100 people trek through the Scheels parking lot and up and down Sparks Boulevard for a competitive 10K run and a two-mile fun run and walk.
Proceeds from the Turkey Trot go to Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful to fund beautification projects around the region. The more than 2,100 entries was the most ever in Turkey Trot history.
Participants were clad in their commemorative Turkey Trot sweatshirts as they enjoyed post-race refreshments at The Legends at Sparks Marina.
