DENVER — Nevada's delegation to the Democratic National Convention cast 25 votes for Sen. Barack Obama and eight votes for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkley announced the vote Wednesday from the convention floor. She noted Nevada is the "Battle Born" state and now a battleground state in the fall election.

She said Nevada Democrats support Obama because he has a "vision for the West investing in renewable energy, caring for our veterans and keeping nuclear waste out of Yucca Mountain."
