A man featured on the Reno’s Most Wanted list has been apprehended in Sparks after a standoff with police.

On Wednesday at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Sparks Police Department received a report that Jason Redwine, who was wanted on a felony arrest warrant by the Department of Parole and Probation, was in the residence at 3174 Bristle Branch. Sparks police officers attempted contact with Redwine for several hours at the residence without success. Police had information indicating Redwine had recently been in possession of a firearm, so at approximately 11:30 a.m. they fired gas into the residence. After several minutes Redwine exited the residence and surrendered to police. Redwine was booked at the Washoe County Detention Facility.
