RENO — On Thursday Robert Fluker, a 54-year-old target of the Northern Nevada Repeat Offender Program received a sentence of 20-50 years in the Nevada State Prison by the Honorable Judge Brent Adams. The state was represented by Assistant District Attorney Elliot Salter. Fluker’s criminal history spans 35 years with 13 prior felony convictions.
Fluker plead guilty in March of 2011 on two separate cases. The first case he threatened and then robbed an elderly change attendant at the Raley’s on North Hills Drive. Later that evening, he simulated a handgun and robbed the Sunny Discount Liquor Store on Clear Acre Lane. During the second robbery, a clerk was able to detain him after a struggle during which the clerk struck Fluker with a baseball bat and then Fluker stabbed the clerk with a knife. The cases occurred in March of 2010.
In the first case, Fluker was found guilty of Robbery receiving a sentence of six to 15 years. In addition, there was an Elderly enhancement with a sentence of eight to 20 years to run consecutively to the first sentence. On the second case, he was found guilty of Robbery receiving a sentence of six to 15 years to run consecutively.
