RENO — “Family,” a Stilldream Festival Reno warm-up event, will be at the Knitting Factory at 9 p.m. Friday. This event is free and 21 and older. The show will feature performances by G.A.M.M.A., Nick Nyquil, Atom O.N.E., Erik Lobe, Boggan, The Mener and DJ 5657. The 12th anniversary Stilldream Festival will take place in Belden Town and Resort, Calif., Sept. 21-24.

The Seedless 10DenC CD release party will take place at the Knit Saturday. Special guests J French Project, Clementine’s Knight and Rigorous Proof. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:45 p.m. Tickets cost $6 and the event is all ages.

Some have described the music of Seedless 10DenC (pronounced Tendency) as “chili jam” due to the at times obvious influences of the RHCP and Pearl Jam. Life’s humilities and atrocities are what drives the lyrics and style of this band. Frontman Grady Holdridge offers a diverse mixture of vocals, and when guitarist Calib Advincula combines with long time friend Paul Anthony Squillante, fun happens. The band began in April 2008 performing cover tunes for Reno/Tahoe’s local bars and cantinas. After reconfiguring the band and changing its name to Seedless 10DenC, the band began writing its own material in 2010, fans applauded in 2011, and now the band is promoting their debut album “Evolution from Deep Water.”

The Knitting Factory Concert House is located at 211 N. Virginia St. in Reno. Concert tickets are available at the Cal-Neva Casino Main Cashier Cage 24-hours a day, at Recycled Records, by calling 877-4-FLY-TIX (435-9849) and online at www.ticketfly.com or www.knittingfactory.com.
