Man arrested for hitting a pedestrian

RENO — A 28-year-old Reno man has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk and striking a pedestrian with his car as he crossed Wells Avenue on Saturday night, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.

Nickalaus Ray Campbell is charged with hitting the pedestrian at 10:41 p.m. near the intersection of Wells Avenue and Thoma Street. The pedestrian reportedly jumped from a vehicle after an argument and crossed a median with heavy brush into the path of Campbell’s truck. The pedestrian is being treated for major injuries, police said.
