LAS VEGAS (AP) — President Barack Obama has taken off following a speech at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Air Force One departed from McCarran International Airport about 1:55 p.m. Thursday after Obama spoke to a crowd at UNLV’s Cox Pavilion about relieving student loan debt.

His trip to Sin City lasted less than two hours.

Thursday’s visit is his fourth trip to the Silver State this year. Obama made an overnight visit to southern Nevada in late January and made a brief stop in Boulder City in March.

Last month he was in Reno, where he visited with a couple who re-financed their home through a program initiated by Obama.

Nevada is an important swing state in November’s presidential election.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney campaigned in Las Vegas last week.
