RENO —  Harrah’s Reno, and the Ultimate Armwrestling League, proudly present the 2012 USAF Unified National Armwrestling Championships on Saturday. This distinctive one-of-a-kind sporting event will treat fans to a high-energy night filled with music, gorgeous go-go girls and knock-down, drag-out, arm wrestling mayhem. The Saturday main event will feature finals in each weight class competing for a chance to represent the United States at the world competition in Brazil later this year. On this special night, legends of the sport will reunite for a classic showdown.  The prize on the line for the winner is an extravagant $8,000 gold ring as well as hefty bragging rights as the ultimate arm wrestler in the nation.  This is the first time such a contest has accompanied the national finals.

All the stars of armwrestling will appear on this special night. John “the perfect storm” Brzenk, named by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “Greatest Armwrestler of All Time” takes on 240 pounds of ripped steel in Chris “the freak” Chandler.  Then, two No. 1 contenders face off as Todd “Zilla” Hutching faces Bill “Hands of Steel” Longston.

Come out and enjoy this unique sporting event and root for your favorite athletes to represent America in the world contest.  The main event starts at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets cost $15 at the door at the Harrah’s Reno Convention Center in downtown. Preliminary and senior rounds are held throughout the weekend.  For a full schedule and more information, visit www.harrahsreno.com or www.theUAL.com.
