Fire Captain Dennis Williamson, fire engineer John Fish, firefighter Cody Beaman and firefighter Shawn Iverson, the crew in Truck 18, were assigned as a rescue group and using a 28-foot extension ladder, were able to work quickly and rescue four adults and one child from two second-story apartment balconies.
“Our top priority as firefighters is, and will remain, providing essential emergency services and ensuring the public safety of our community,” said Ryan Beaman, president of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1908. “I am proud of my four fellow firefighters for acting quickly and going above and beyond in order to rescuse these families safely and without injuries.”
