LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say three people were hurt, including two Las Vegas police officers, in a fiery five-vehicle crash several blocks west of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Las Vegas Sun reports the two officers were in an unmarked police car that was hit from behind during the crash about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on Russell Road near Arville Street.

KVVU-TV Fox 5 reports that a van involved in the crash burst into flames.

Police say the officers were taken to University Medical Center and a person from another car was taken to Spring Valley Hospital.

All were said to have minor injuries. Their names weren’t immediately made public.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
