This extraordinary, young group will be stopping at The New Oasis as part of an extensive tour in support of the recently released “Divide The Blackened Sky,” a dynamic and melodic alternative rock record for fans of Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, etc., which hit stores in late March on Rocket Science Ventures
“Divide The Blackened Sky” is a much darker, and more personal collection of tracks than TVU’s major label debut, “Against The Grain,” which released in 2009. The band’s two mainstays, vocalist Crispin Earl and guitarist, Eric Schraeder, persevered through a ton of adversity (a revolving cast of musicians, being dropped from their label, financial difficulties and more) on their way to finally completing the long-awaited follow-up.
The Veer Union plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday at The New Oasis, 2100 Victorian Ave. Admission costs $7 in advance, $12 at the door. Must be 21 or older.
