UNR students battle to design applications using Microsoft software

RENO — Microsoft Licensing (MSLI) will announce the University of Nevada, Reno student winner of its second annual application development contest for the Windows Phone 7 (WP7) at 10:30 a.m. today.

The presentation will cover the development of the contest, description of each submission, a demonstration of each team’s application and announcement of the winner.

The WP7 app design contest was conceived by UNR alumnus Justin Lewis, and Calvin Fung and Sig Wawdo of MSLI, in partnership with Michael McMahon of the University’s Computer Science and Engineering Department in the College of Engineering.

The announcement will take place at Microsoft Licensing, 6880 Sierra Center Pkwy. in Reno.
