RENO — Nevada State Bank is giving Nevada businesses an opportunity to showcase their products or services for a chance to win $10,000 in cash during Nevada State Bank’s “Cash Flow to Grow” video contest.

The social media-based contest encourages businesses to upload a short video (two minutes or less) to the Nevada Small Business Facebook page detailing their answer to the question, “How can your business benefit from a $10,000 increase in its cash flow?”

“I’m so excited to share this contest with our business community. ‘Cash Flow to Grow’ could be just the help they need for success in 2012,” said Jana Benton, senior vice president/northern Nevada business center sales manager of Nevada State Bank. “We can’t wait to see the amazing videos and find the hidden gems out there.”

In addition to the $10,000 cash prize, winners of the Cash Flow to Grow video contest have a chance to win added in-kind prizes to help them grow their business. Yelp.com, a site that connects people with local businesses, has agreed to provide the winning business with a one-year enhanced business listing. Yelpers have written more than 25 million local reviews and the site has an average of 66 million monthly unique visitors.

“Yelp is dedicated to connecting people with great local businesses,” said Misti Yang, Yelp senior community manager. “As a part of this mission, we’re happy to come together with Nevada State Bank to help one lucky local business grow.”

Videos are being accepted through May 20. The Nevada State Bank judging panel will select the top five videos, which will then be posted to the bank’s Nevada Small Business Facebook page. Voting by the public for the winner will run from May 25 to June 8. The winning business will be posted the week of June 11.
