FALLON — Enel Green Power will dedicate the world’s only solar-geothermal hybrid renewable energy project with a special dedication event Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

Enel Green Power’s Stillwater solar-geothermal hybrid plant generates a combined 59 megawatts of power. Energy generated from the plants has helped NV Energy reach its commitment to the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard.

The dedication event will be attended by Gov. Brian Sandoval, NV Energy CEO Michael Yackira, members of the Nevada Public Utilities Commission, Francesco Venturini, head of Enel Green Power North America and other local elected officials.

The plant is located at 3500 Lawrence Road in Fallon.
