Fred Turnier
Turnier will begin his employment with the city on May 21 after serving as the interim city manager and community and economical development director for the city of Fernley. Turnier previously worked for the city of Reno as the planning manager from October 2003 to December 2005.
Turnier has more than 17 years of public and private development experience with extensive knowledge and experience in community building and program implementation.
The city’s community development director position was left vacant when Bill Thomas was promoted to assistant city manager in February.
