The Reed High baseball team went into Day 2 at the Righetti Classic and collected a resounding victory, taking down Santa Maria 10-0. Reed's day got cut short as rain cancelled the second game of the Raiders' scheduled action Thursday.

RHS senior Tanner Paris, pitching in his first game of the season, combined with Austin Corbett in the five-inning shutout. Paris went four innings, while Corbett pitched the final frame.

Junior Mark Nowaczewski belted out his first home run, and coach Ray Charles said Ryan Butler and Beau Tittensor also hit well at the plate.

Reed (10-8) will play again today at 10 a.m. The opponent was unknown by press time.
