TRUCKEE, Calif. – Piping Rock Equestrian Center recently was purchased by longtime horse enthusiasts Lisa Fielding and Ed Svendsen.

Formerly called Tahoe Meadows Equestrian Center, Piping Rock is in operation year-round, offering a wide variety of English and Western lessons for all ages, summer camps and horse-boarding.

Svendsen and Fielding purchased the 26-acre facility and 45 adjoining acres in summer 2011. They own and operate hay and cattle ranches in Doyle and Herlong, Calif., 40 miles north of Reno.

Future plans for Piping Rock include lessons in team penning, cattle sorting, branding and eventually the opening of a petting zoo.

Piping Rock Equestrian Center is located off Interstate 80 at 12318 Union Mills Road, Truckee, CA 96161. For more information, visit www.pipingrockhorses.com, email Lisa at ddotranch@gmail.com or call Ed at 530-582-6780.
