Brüka presents ‘Hansel & Gretel’

RENO — Brüka Theatre presents the 19th year of Theatre for Children with the adaptation of the Brothers Grimm’s “Hansel & Gretel.” Brüka’s Theatre for Children recently completed three very successful public performances, March 22 – 24, at McKinley Arts & Culture in Reno and is bringing its tours into northern Nevada schools and communities through June. Through a partnership with Pioneer Youth Programs, Brüka will tour Washoe elementary schools. Brüka Theatre for Children will also tour to four local libraries thanks to generous funding from The DP Foundation and The Foundation of Western Nevada Giving Circle.

April tour dates include:

• Pleasant Valley Elementary School: today

• Elmcrest Elementary School: Friday

• Ester Bennett Elementary School: April 20

• South Valleys Library: May 12 at 2 p.m. Free to the public

Other May and June sites available upon request.

Also this weekend, Brüka Theatre continues its run of the play “The Wild Party” with performances today, Friday and Saturday.
