An MRI machine can manipulate a magnetic field, measure the magnetic response of body tissues and map these signals to display an inside view of the patient’s anatomy.
The new 3T MRI system incorporates a number of technologies designed to deliver exceptional image clarity. It quickly provides radiologists and physicians with precise, detailed images needed to help confidently diagnose many different anatomical and structural problems in the body, including brain and nervous system disorders, cardiovascular disease and organ disease.
Getting a scan with the new 3T MRI will be more comfortable because it is based around a wide-bore magnet with a 70cm opening. This wider opening and larger bed will enable medical professionals to image patients of varying size, age and physical condition (including persons up to 550 pounds). It will also help patients who might be claustrophobic or anxious about getting an MRI.
Ingenia 3T also performs spectroscopy, which can better determine if an area is a new tumor. This feature shows the brain’s motor strip so a neurosurgeon can operate and avoid that area.
