SPARKS — A 24-year-old man was arrested Friday for threatening to shoot at people during a fight.

Tony Llamas has been charged with aiming a firearm at a human being, carrying a concealed weapon and contributing to the delinquency of minors.

At 10:40 p.m. Friday, Sparks police responded to a report of shots fired inside the parking structure at John Ascuaga’s Nugget. Officers found several fired shell casings and bullet fragments. Witnesses said two groups of people were involved: one group of two people in a vehicle and a group of four people who were walking through the garage. A verbal and then physical fight broke out when one of the people who were walking hit one of the people who was in the vehicle.

One member of the group that was on foot then took a handgun from his waistband and aimed it at the people in the truck, and fired several rounds. No one was injured by the shots.

About an hour and a half later, officers were still reviewing video tape and speaking with witnesses when a witness saw a vehicle containing several of the group that was on foot enter into the valet area. The witness alerted the officer they were speaking with, and the subjects were detained and a handgun was recovered.

Officers would still like to speak to the persons who were in the truck to obtain their version of the events. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Sparks police detectives at 353-2225 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
