LAS VEGAS (AP) — Airport officials in Las Vegas say McCarran International Airport handled 3.1 million passengers in February.
That’s up 6.6 percent compared with the same month one year ago.
McCarran officials said Thursday that traffic at the primary airport servicing Sin City is up 3.3 percent through the first two months of the year.
Allegiant Air posted the largest year-over-year increase by percentage. More than 26 percent more passengers used the airline in Las Vegas in February compared with the same month last year.
Traffic for Southwest Airlines was up 2.7 percent. Southwest is the airport’s largest carrier.
Traffic on US Airways flights was down nearly 12 percent.
Officials say the airport handled 6.2 million passengers, combined, in January and February.
