RENO — Now is the time to prepare home sprinkler systems for the coming season and staff at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum want to help by offering a free Spring Sprinkler Tune-Up Workshop from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on April 14, in the Ranch House at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

Assistant arboretum horticulturist Phil Brazier will demonstrate proper techniques for turning on, tuning up and trouble-shooting home sprinkler systems during this two-hour workshop. He will also explain how to efficiently water lawns and landscapes.

The workshop is sponsored by Washoe County’s Department of Regional Parks and Open Space and the Wilbur D. May Center. Space is limited. Call 785-4153 in advance to reserve a seat. Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is located at 1595 N. Sierra St. in Reno.
