RENO – This weekend’s headliner for Reno-Tahoe Comedy is comedian Mike Pace.

Pace has been doing comedy since gas was $1.50 a gallon and he drove a Datsun. At the time he wore a thrift store vintage tuxedo jacket, untied tennis shoes and a mullet. After raising three kids he has learned to tie his shoes, get a haircut and buys clothes from a regular store and headlines all over. Since his start, Pace has been invited to the prestigious Aspen Comedy Arts Festival, where he was a crowd favorite. His relationship with HBO continued when he was on Larry David’s Emmy Award-winning “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work behind and in front of the camera on “Comic Relief” and Pace was most recently featured on “Comics Unleashed.”

Hosting the 7 p.m. show on Friday and Saturday is comedic legend Tony D’Andrea. D’Andrea’s act is a whirlwind tour of thoughts and impressions with stops at platforms even he doesn’t realize are on the itinerary. Impressions mixed with stand-up, it’s a formula that has gained favor with audiences all over the country. When you see D’Andrea, you get Nicholson, Pesci, and a whole lot more.

Hosting the 9:30 p.m. show on Saturday is local comedian Wayne Walsh. Wayne is a fast-paced comic whose style is shockingly funny and thought-provoking. Walsh’s commanding stage presence keeps him one of northern Nevada’s favorite local comics and a highlight of tours across the western United States.

In addition to your headliner and hosts, comedians O.C. Gillham and Evan Watson will make their Reno Tahoe Comedy guest comedian debuts.
