RENO — On display is the exhibit “Out of the Forest: Art Nouveau Lamps,” which includes 20 lamps by Tiffany Studios and other lamp manufacturers of the art nouveau era, all from the private collection of Byron Vreeland.

Also from the Tiffany era is “In Company with Angels: Seven Rediscovered Tiffany Windows,” debuting seven magnificent stained glass church windows by Tiffany Studios recently salvaged after years in storage.

“Tiffany & Co. Arms” from the collection of Robert M. Lee features the finest-known collection of privately owned arms — including fine guns and a presentation sword — rivaled only by those on view in the Robert M. Lee Gallery of American Arms at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

On Friday at noon is “Art Bite - Meet the Artist: Corky Normart on Dalle de Verre Art Glass.” Glass artist Corky Normart will explain the Dalle de Verre method and process.

On Thursday is the monthly First Thursday event. This month features Tim Snider and Sound Society from 5 to 7 p.m. Grab a beer, groove to the live music and check out the galleries at First Thursday. First Thursday wine bar sponsored by Whispering Vine Wine Company. Sponsored annually by The X 100.1 FM Radio and Great Basin Brewing Company. Bottled water sponsored by Sam’s Club.
