84 drivers cited for endangering pedestrians

RENO — An undercover crosswalk sting in downtown on Sunday by the Reno Police Department resulted in 84 citations, largely given to drivers for failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk. Also, 23 drivers were given verbal warnings.

The operation was conducted in the area of Sierra and West Third streets, North Virginia Street and the River Walk and North Arlington Avenue and West Third Street.

This operation was grant funded through the Office of Traffic Safety.
