Adele Waller, 65 passed away peacefully at St. Mary's hospital on February 10, surrounded by her loving family after losing her year long hard fought battle with cancer. Adele was born in Oakland, CA to Jim and Lorna Callos. When Adele was six months old her family moved to Longview, Washington. Adele graduated from R.A. Long high School in 1964 where she competed on the swim team.

In October of 1964 she married the love of her life, Jim Waller. In 1971 Jim and Adele moved with their two children to Sparks, "where it didn't rain." Jim and Adele joined Calvary Baptist Church which started her life-long commitment to volunteering. She began her volunteer work as a pre-school teacher at CBC and got involved with Sparks Bobby Sox and Sparks Babe Ruth where she worked hard to keep the concession stand running smoothly.

In 1986 she started her own business, Del's Concessions. After starting Del's Concessions she got very involved in the Sparks Chamber of Commerce. While continuing to work her concession business she purchased Wings-n-Things in 1992. Adele took great pride in working hard and pleasing her customers. With her husband by her side she worked tirelessly for 26 years, traveling to many fairs, rodeos and balloon races.

After retiring she continued to donate her time. She was not quite able to walk away from her love of working the fair and rodeo in Yerington. She volunteered her time and hard work for 2 years serving as the concessions master contractor. She continued to volunteer for Evelyn Mount, KNPB and the Food Bank through-out her sickness.

Adele enjoyed watching her granddaughters play their many sports, even traveling to softball tournaments. She was a great fan and at times was ready to jump from her seat if somebody got a little rough with her girls. Adele loved to meet new people and made many life-long friends through her volunteering and work. She always had a big smile for everyone she knew or just met. Her laugh would light up a room!! Everyone who met Adele loved her. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her Husband of 47 years, Jim Waller; her son Clint (Tammy) Waller, daughter Carolee (Anthony) Perano, grand daughters Gabriella Villegas, Julianna and Allison Waller. Sister Diane (Jim) Coble, brothers Gary (Connie) Callos and Bob (Vickie) Callos and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Adele will be dearly missed, she was our rock.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Walton's Sparks Funeral Home, 1745 Sullivan Lane, Sparks, NV.
