The Nevada Senate is offering “uLegislate” free of charge to community groups, schoolchildren, chambers of commerce, church groups and civic organizations from March 5 to July 27 this year. This week’s session will occur at 11 a.m. today. The public is invited.
Participants will have the opportunity to debate and vote on four pieces of model legislation as part of the simulation. They will vote using the same technology used by Nevada’s senators, and will see their own names appear on the Senate’s vote tabulation system. The simulation is designed to run one hour.
Reservations are now being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact the Nevada Senate at 684-1400, via Twitter @NVSecSenate, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
