Sunday Forums are slated to start at 9 a.m. and are open to the public including UUFNN members and non-members alike. The Millers will talk about their anticipated expectations for moving into Grass Valley’s Wolf Creek Lodge and some of the planning steps they have witnessed; occupancy is expected to start this fall.
Wolf Creek Lodge features some 30 units in a condo-style building with space for both singles and couples. There are common areas including a dining room, living room, kitchen and more, according to Bob Miller. Wolf Creek Lodge also features a shared patio and access to trails along Wolf Creek. More information can be found by visiting wolfcreeklodge.org; information on co-housing can be found at cohousing.org.
Each Sunday, UUFNN features a speaker at its Sunday Forum; this speaker shares his or her knowledge about a specific subject and its impact on the world. Sunday Forums are scheduled to occur just prior to the regularly-planned Sunday services starting at 10:30 a.m.
Upcoming speakers include Judge Patricia Barnes who will speak about workplace bullying on Feb. 5; Bob Fulkerson, executive director of the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada or PLAN, who will speak about his experience with the Occupy Wall Street Movement on Feb. 12; and Kevin Murphy who will lead a discussion of Bill Moyers’ interview with Salman Rushdie on the question of faith and Reason on Feb. 19.
