LAS VEGAS (AP) — President Barack Obama is continuing his 5-state tour with a stop at a United Parcel Service facility in Las Vegas.

During a speech at the plant Thursday morning, Obama is expected to promote themes from his State of the Union address, including the need for more manufacturing and clean energy jobs.

Nevada has led the nation in unemployment since May 2010. The jobless rate in Las Vegas was 12.7 percent in December. The statewide rate was 12.6 percent.

Obama arrived in Las Vegas Wednesday night, after visiting Iowa and Arizona.
