NORTH LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a 20-year-old Las Vegas man has been arrested in a double shooting that killed one man and wounded another during the weekend in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas police Officer Chrissie Coon says Terhain Woods was arrested early Tuesday and is being held at the city jail pending an initial court appearance on felony murder and attempted murder with a weapon charges.

The Clark County coroner says 31-year-old Quincy Lavelle Hill died of gunshot wounds at University Medical Center in Las Vegas after the shooting about 10 p.m. Sunday.

Coon says a 28-year-old man is recovering from his wounds.

Police say the shooting happened after an altercation in the back yard of a home on Ward Street, northwest of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue.
