RENO — Walmart plans to hire approximately 250 associates to work at the new Walmart slated to open in March in North Valleys. The retailer has opened a temporary hiring center at 10555 Stead Blvd., Suite 6, in Reno.

The hiring center will accept applications from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. Interested applicants can apply online at http://walmartstores.com/Careers.

According to store manager Tim Davis, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates.

“We are thrilled to add this Walmart to the North Valleys and bring good jobs with career opportunities to the area,” he said. Davis said associates are needed to work in all areas of the new store, including supervisory positions.

The majority of associates will begin work in February to help prepare the store for its grand opening in the spring.

The new store will be located at 250 Vista Knoll Pkwy. in Reno.
