Rewards offered in robberies at Philly Cheesesteak, AM/PM

RENO — Secret Witness is offering rewards in two weekend robberies.

This first is a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with armed robbery of the Philadelphia Cheesesteak restaurant at 2755 Kietzke Lane.

On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., a Hispanic man believed to be about 40 years old entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. When the clerk questioned the suspect, he displayed a revolver-type handgun in his waistband. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash northbound on Kietzke Lane.

The suspect is about 6 feet tall with a heavy build and distinctive facial acne scars. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, silver chains around his neck and a blue coat with “69” on the back.

Secret Witness is offering another $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with armed robbery of the AM/PM market at 2002 Sierra Highlands in Reno.

At 12:20 a.m. Sunday, a man entered the store and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk. The robber walked directly behind the counter and took the cash box. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash northbound.

The suspect is described as a unknown race male adult, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these suspects.
