RENO — In the wake of its recent merger, The Chamber has announced the appointment of Manuel “Manny” Martinez as business diversity manager. Martinez, who joined the team on Nov. 7, will handle all business integration within the diverse community for the region’s largest business resource.

In his new position, Martinez will be responsible for integrating the different business cultures in the market and create a cohesive bridge binding all northern Nevada businesses together.

“Manny’s understanding of the different cultures, alongside with his proven success as a business leader, will make him invaluable for the growth of The Chamber,” said Len Stevens, executive director. “Our region is made up of such a diverse group of business leaders who we need to make our region thrive and I believe that Manny couldn’t be appointed at a better time.”

Manny brings more than 30 years of business leadership and community involvement into his new position, most recently as vice president/general manager for Charter Communications, where he maintained his franchise in the top percentile in subscriber gain and net growth. His qualities consist of personal, professional and community servitude, motivational team leader, as well as a liaison between the different cultural organizations in our region.
